According to the Independent Complete University Guide 2011, Oxford is again the top institution in the UK, ahead of Cambridge and Imperial. The University of Buckingham has been included, for the first time, in the league table.
Universities with improvements in the rankings include:
- Lancaster jumped up to 8th place from 12th in the 2010 league table.
